"This is Dana's day pack on steroids, ie. it is called a day pack but it is technically more closely related to advanced internal frame multi-day packs. As an archaeologist, I have spent months surveying across the hottest and most rugged parts of the SW during the summer. The Shadow Peak allowed me to carry 2.25 gallons of H2O, lunch, and all my necessary gear COMFORTABLY and almost effortlessly. Meanwhile, my co-workers nearly succumbed to heat exhaustion in the 110 deg. heat. Since then, 3 of them have bought Shadow Peaks too. What better recommendation can there be?"

"I'm not much of an expert in wilderness hiking, I'm a native to the East Coast and hardly into my late teens. I frequent Old Rag and I've taken trips out to the South West and into Wyoming and Montana. Reguardless of whether my destination is city or country I've loved my Shadow Peak. It's my suitcase and my daypack.. I'd say more like a three day pack, it's versetile and comfortable and carries an amazing ammount of gear, apparently 39 liters, but I'm not much into metric. It's a great pack and durable as all hell."
