"I've had a Jandd barad pack for about a year and have found it to
be one of the best designed pieces of equipment I've had. I have
put about 250 miles of trekking under it, and have yet to have any
pain. The zippers are huge, the pack has tons of room, and the
president of the company answers when you call. Buy one, you
will thank me."
"Love it. Got it after short love affairs with Dana and Osprey. Interestingly, paid $35 for the Barad and a Jansport external on ebay. It is, most importantly, very comfortable, well built, and convenient. the top pocket converts to a very functional fanny pack and the water bottle pockets fold flat when not in use. I just had 75 lbs in it. too much for my 165 lbs frame but oh well, and after making all of the necessary adjustments it carried extremely well. the sewing is impeccable and the 500 denier cordura with the double bottom is great. lots of lashing points and a shovel pocket round out this great buy. I have a Madden pack and I rank this right up there with the Madden and both beyond Dana and Osprey"
