"Great external frame pack! There are several adjustments you can make for it to fit YOU. Its only draw back is the lack of external pockets (it only has two large ones). The top part of the pack also converts to a fanny pack (a rather large one at that). With over 4500 cubic inches of space, the pack served me very well overall for a week on North Manitou Island (Michigan)"

"I bought the Continental Divide 5300 this year for a week-long summer backpack in the Poconos and was it ever sweet! I love the design of the frame which fits me perfectly and the roominess of the pack for everything. The only disadvantage was that it didn't have any side pockets for those must-have items that you need in a hurry."

"Heavy (nearly 8 lbs) and inflexible, with a completely rigid aluminum frame. Nice internal hydration pouch. I originally bought it for comfort - I wanted a cooler back and thought an external would work better for this purpose. The narrower/longer pack was a great and overdue idea for an external design, and snagged less brush, but Kelty should have used a more flexible synthetic frame material, as this pack doesn't move at all with one's body."

"A fantastic pack. Extra pockets and pouches galore. The quality is great and it holds up well. All that I need and more. I use the side straps to whatever I need easy access to. The fit is great because it so adjustable. I am very pleased."
