"I purchased this pack for my 6 year old. He is small, and it just fits him adjusted all the way down with the belt as tight as it will go. He loves it. He has hiked about 5 miles in it fully loaded, without a complaint, and being H20 compatible, I don't need to worry about his hydration. He can easily carry about 15% of his weight without concern, including his sleeping bag, gloves, hat, flashlight, extra cloths, water and compass. An that is in the winter, with heavy cloths on. Pros: very durable, great for very small children, H20, hold-open bar allows kids to pack/unpack themselves. Very adjustable.
Cons: If anything is hung under the pack area (where most adults would carry a sleeping bag, pad, etc.) it throws the weight dist. off and pulls him backwards uncomfortably."
