"Packs for short women (15" torso) are HARD to find, but Lowe
has created a comfortable, well built pack that adjusts for short or
tall women. I find the Sirocco quite comfortable even when
carrying loads up to 35% of my body weight."

"I am a short 56 year old woman (under 5'5") and love my Lowe Sirocco. It is extremely well designed for both weight distribution and organization. On a short trip, everything except tent poles fits inside. I can easily carry 30-35% of my bodyweight while hiking pals with less well designed packs are struggling."

"I got this pack on clearance at a local spotring goods store for $50 bucks cause it was missing about $10 worth of buckles and webbing. After minor repairs, this is the best damn pack you could buy. On one trip, my down sleeping bag got blown off a point into Lake Superior and i used my pack as an emergency bivy for 2 nights! This is a great pack, a huge pack and after 200 miles on the trail, i realized it was a womans pack! i am a slender male and it seems to fit me just fine! in comparing it with other packs of the same type i realized that the only real difference is a more padded, lower sitting, waist belt, if you crank the straps the right way. This pack is wonderful for women or men althought it is made for a womans hips. The side compression straps hold your load close to your body with minimal load shifting. THis keeps you stable threw even the most insane terrain. This pack is great, but the only quarrel is the weight."

"I am a 5'3" female with a torso length of 18. I bought my Sirocco 12 years ago and it is still the BEST pack I have ever used. It fits like a golve, distrubutes weight gracefully and holds all my gear. I only wish the shoulder straps were wider with fuller padding."
