"I used this backpack summer 2003. With a base weight of approx. 2lbs (manufacturer's rating) and a cost of $25, its hard to beat.
The construction and material is excellent for the price and are comparative to big name brand packs. It uses a plastic sheet and aluminum stays for support and transfers weight nicely to the comfortable hip belt (I carry just under 20lbs in this pack 3-4 day trip). The shoulder straps are comfortable and easy to adjust. Cons: Mesh pockets are very small when the pack is full. I use 20oz pop bottles for water and they are tight. Quick release buckles might be a little on the cheap side. I have broken the hip belt buckle and have a compression buckle that does not like to hold when you tighten it too much. Would like to have a water bladder slot. It is an excellect pack for the money. I will be looking at the Golite Race pack to replace this. It is a touch small for a 4 day trip."
