REI Wonderland large Review

"Puchased this large pack with removable fanny pack - based in renting it previous year. Load straps tore away from grommets after 1 mile. Returned it to REI who informed me that that the model had been recalled for that reason and new Hip belt with straps will be replaced. Otherwise, its a roomy, confortable and functional pack."

"Model discontinued in 2001. Buy it used if you can get it. 19 of us went on a 70 mile trek; three had this pack (including me). The removable fanny pack was handy for side hikes. The ability to unzip the whole rear of the pack to get to stuff without coming down from the top was great. I've put over 140 miles on it so far; at about 125 miles the waist belt buckle was slipping and needed to be replaced. I also lost a zipper that held the fanny pack / rear small pocket on the pack at about 40 miles. Otherwise, it has been great. REI's return/warranty policy can't be beat."
