"First off, these are some great boots. I bought them A month ago and did a very little amount of break in. Some city walking and 2 1.5 hour hikes. Nothing too strenous.
I've just returned from Yosemite, I did the Halfdome roundtrip day hike in 12 hours and I am very happy with these boots. I've never done any long distance hiking before and I had almost no trouble with the boots. The only problem was a hotspot on my left little toe, but that was due more to the fact that I almost broke it 2 months ago and it is still not back up to top shape.
Great boots, I highly recommend them."
"This is a preliminary review for the Zamberlan Civetta's. While not the most common name around, these boots are very well made and were comfortable from the first minute. I have hiked about 30 miles in them, so far. With no break-in, they are sturdy, dry and give great support. Some reviews say that they are designed for narrow feet, but my 10D's say not so. I tried numerous models and these were clearly a better fit for me. I will follow up with more once I put some more miles on the boots. Bottom line, well made, long distance hiker, $170"
