"I used these boots for many years in the military. A very good boot for sure. I basically rendered them useless when I resoled them with flat, but comfortable bottoms (3 years before going to war). They really held up well. I gave them away."

"I just finished a good Summer/Fall of Hiking.(500 plus miles) All
types of terrian, wet and dry. I justed finished the year with three
weeks in the mountians of Nevada. These boots held tough, didn't
leak and still have a good sole. I have the non-insolated Gortex
boots with nylon sides. Also they provide excellent support for the
foot. The cons are the price $180+, on the heavy side and don't
have speed laces. I have been hiking for 10 plus years and have
tried alot of boots. For the really hard, rough trail these are the
boots."
