"I wore these for 6 years. a littleway welted, leather-lined boot at the time; now a norwegian welt with a fabric lining. very comfortable, easy to break in, waterproofed well with sno-seal. a mid-weight boot - mine broke down due to rough terrain, steady use by a heavy (200 pound) hiker and a heavy backpack. midsole not stiff enough for use with crampons."

"A great overall boot. I find it hard to find a boot that fits well right off the bat, but this one did, I never got a single blister! I'm on my second pair now, the first pair lasted a little over 6 years hiking with me (170 pounds) and a 45 pound pack in The Great Smokey Mountians National Park. The leather collar around the top ended up seperating on my last pair of boots and I always carried an extra pair of laces, because ever so often the top eyelet on the outside of each boot would decide it was hungry and shred a lace. This is the first pair of boots that has lasted more than 2 years and I don't see buying a different pair as long as they are making these."
