"The Humvee of boots. A great boot for very difficult trekking. Their construction is one piece 2.8 mm perwanger leather which wraps all around the boot, including the under the foot. I have used them snowshoeing, with instep crampons, and through summer streams. The rand seems indistructable. When I look at one season with my Scarpa SLM3's and the Dunagiri's, the Scarpas look they have been through a wood chipper and The Big D's look a little dirty. The sole locks onto thin ledges and they handle any approach with comfort. They are not lightweights, but whatever you carry regardless of backpacking terrain or season, they won't let you down."

"I have a narrow foot and tried on all the other competitors boots. The Tecnica Dunagiri GTX is by far the best boot I have ever owned. The bio-flex system has just enough flex for your foot on the trail or climbing rock. The gore-tex liner keeps your feet dry on the snow or stream crossings. They work great with hybrid or strap on crampons. First time out hiked 5000 ft in 3 miles with no blisters!"

"I bought a pair of these boots in May, and it is now September and the sole is already starting to separate from the boot, albeit in a minor way. But how will these boots look in a few more months? I am disappointed with the quality of these boots, and with Tecnica in general. I had to return another pair of Tecnica boots (the Stratus Bio-flex) for the same reason."
