owned two pair in my life. they are the best, the greatest support ever. i have climbed mt rainier with them. i wish they would come back!"

"I purchased a pair of these in 1979, and they are still going strong, 26 years and countless miles later. Incredible, considering I go through sneakers in a matter of months. I also climbed Ranier in these.
Pros: They never wear out. Still on the original soles. Warm.
Cons: Very, very heavy by today's standards; all leather requires frequent Sno-seal and welt seal. Warm."
