"I have worn these boots daily reading gas meters through rain, snow, and desert heat. After 20 months the leather is staring to split but the gortex bootie is still impervious to wet. Good ankle support, no breaking period, and lightwieght. My next pair will be the same as these."

"First off: I wear a women's 8.5. My feet are low-volume, wide at the forefoot, and have no arches to speak of. Think Daffy Duck and you're on the right track. So it follows that I'm a bit hard to fit. Most boots are too high-volume for me.
These boots have performed well for me over the course of several years. I have crossed streams, walked through rainshowers, and crossed snowfields in them. The leather has held up well, and the rand has done a nice job of protecting the sole-upper connection. No delamination problems. The Gore-tex bootie may be starting to break down (after thousands of miles and six years), as I've had some dampness at the ball of the foot a couple of times. The boots are a bit high-volume for me, but I've gotten different insoles to remedy that. All I've had to repair or replace has been the laces. Tough boots!"
