US Military Polypro Expedition Wgt. Underwear Review

"I don't know the company who makes the underwear for the military, but it is very $$cheap$$! Your looking at about $20 ea. for tops and bottoms at a surplus store. Unfortunatly they don't launder well. They have fallen apart on me but they keep me warm and dry for a small price."

"I wear this gear outside of the thermax lightweight shirts, same for the legs. If you don't want to spend 100 dollars plus for the ulfrotta wool underwear then this is the stuff. Just remember, this gear doesn't work well next to the skin, it does not absorb your sweat, it keeps it next to your skin, therefore the need for wicking material on the skin then the military polypro. I have used it for years, great insulating layer, DO NOT put it in the wash contrary to the instructions, I hand wash the stuff then hang dry. Had mine for over 10 years now and is in great shape."
