"A minor thing with Moosejaw returns. I bought a Brunton compass (along with some other items) from them and after receiving it it started to leak. I called and they said to send it back using the return label in the box and that their would be no return charges as it is broken. So far so good. I sent it back and waited. After a week I called and was told that they have not received it yet and they subcontract their returns to an outside company and they bring it in when they collect enough. They also said I would be contacted when they got it and let me know what to expect. Another week or more and I called again they said they got it and sent me another. I finally received the replacement but the process took about 4 weeks. I really did not need it that bad and I did receive a new one but it sure took a long time."

"I realize that the previous reviewer must have been inconvenienced by their experience, however, maybe they shouldn't have waited till the last minute and needed the pack shipped that day. I have shopped at moosejaw for years, and can not think of a bad thing to say. Their experienced staff is more than helpful everytime I am in their store and the few times that I have had problems they have done everything to correct the problem quickly, and to make me happy. I can not see them doing anything less for others"

"I love Moosejaw I have purchased tons of items from them. They have always been awesome. Their customer service is incredible. Check out their site. They use recycled boxes, and always toss a couple of stickers in there for you. The email respose from Customer service is usually within 24 hours or less. I cant say enough good things about them.

Thought I would let you all know about a bad experience I have had with ordering gear from Moosejaw. I ordered a pack from them that was reduced by 25% and was told via email from thier customer service, that the pack would be shipping that afternoon (Monday). This was vital for me as I had to head back to Australia on Friday. That day I also ordered a pack cover for the pack from another company ($40). The next day, the pack still had not shipped, so I called Moosejaw for a please explain. I was told by three different people, three different reasons (damaged, lost and stolen!!) for why the pack was missing and hadn't been shipped. They ended up refunding my purchase in full, but left me with no chance of ordering another pack that would arrive before I had to depart. They made an offer of providing me with 15% of a smaller pack in the same line that would ultimately cost me another $40 more than the pack I wanted. Plus, they had the hide to ask me to pay 1/2 of the express postage charges to get the smaller, more expensive pack to me on time. Thanks alot Moosejaw, more like Slackjaw! So now I have a $40 pack cover, no pack and about $60 more to spend if I was to get a smaller pack. So, what can I say about Moosejaw service, appaling, more like customer dis-service!!"
