"I currently have a giga power stove and love it, so I decided that the lantern might be a good light source. The first time I took it camping I had some major problems. To begin with the lantern is awkward to light ,the mantle is in contact with the auto ignition assembly making it vunerable to tears and prone to poking holes in your mantle as the lamp is carried around.Lighting the lamp was easier with a match , once lit my lantern would sputter and spit and the light was well below the 80 watts proported by the literature that comes with the lamp. I must have had a clog or something in my lamp because the light would dim and brighten then go out altogether,I changed cartridges several times with no difference and just gave up altogether trying to make it work.I would still like to have a good light source but for now am packing my low tech candle lantern..."

"I purchased the Snow Peak Giga power stove for use on my kayak camping excursions Its small size (3.5"x2"x1 1/8" packed)and lightweight(3.5 oz)make it ideal for storing in my whitewater kayak. The presence of a push button ignitor is also a plus for easy lighting after a cold day on the water.Whats really nice is that it comes in its own plastic case which protects it from being damaged when its shoved down in my dry bag. The butane/propane canisters that fuel it are as small as you need for the time that you'll need them where ever you take it and for how long.It is small and it will only heat one pot at a time so I purchased a second one because of the size. It is a bit pricey at about $65.00 but well worth the investment."
