"The problems that CDB talked about have been resolved. Stoney Point redesigned their tips early in 2003 and they no longer come off easily. These are quality products and are even better now than before. They are made in the USA"

"I have used a Stoney Point Explorer for several years and have found it to be a great product. I have purchased several other items from the company and they have always responded to my needs. I beleive that they have a first-class customer service department. I felt compelled to write in response to the above comment - which does not appear valid in my experience."

"The shaft itself seems sturdy, but both the rubber tip (groomed trail) and carbide tip (backpacking) fell off during my first trip. The Company ignored 3 emails, a letter, and two phone calls. Do not recommend!"
