"There's something to be said for an inexpensive product that
works well, all the time, The Century propane stove fits into this
category. While not nearly as sexy as many of the ultra-light
backpacking stoves, it is absolutely reliable. It is simple to use,
predictable in its performance and available from almost any major
sporting good suppliers. It's the "Chevrolet" of outdoor stoves, not
the fanciest one on the block, but it will get you there every day."

"This stove is as easy to use as your home stove. In fact, it is easier to use than the stove I had at my house in Bahrain.

However, it certainly can't be called light. I wouldn't take it backpacking, but for car camping, it's great. Not to mention it's cheeeeap."

"I agree that this stove won't win any beauty pageants, but there is something very satisfying about out performing your buddy’s over-priced isobutene rig in a head to head race. Plus propane will actually boil water in extreme cold (without duct taping the canister to your stomach to keep it warm or doing the “isobutene shake”).

Of course every product has its down side. This stove, with its built in wind guards, is very bulky. The canisters are equally large. This stove is best suited for car camping or paddling, where weight and size are less of an issue. However, I will bring it out in winter weekend treks when I need a reliable source of hot water.

This is an extremely reliable and easy to use stove. It has required absolutely no maintenance in the 5 years I have owned it (no clogging). A workhorse for boy scouts, starving college students, and others on a budget (Less than 20 dollars!)"
