Primus MFS (kerosene) Review

"The MFS is a multi-fuel stove, and on my first trip with it, I decided to try it with kerosene. It let me down, and I had to cut my trip short, but I guess the blame is with me. I had no previous experience with stoves that require regular detachment and reattachment of the fuel tank, and did not appreciate the importance of keeping all the connections immaculately clean. I say this because I assume this was the source of the debris that kept plugging up the jet nipple. I used the supplied cleaning tool several times, but the hole would only remain open briefly before clogging again. I think what I was doing was just temporarily pushing the clog backwards. Once I got home and blew the whole thing out thoroughly, it started working just fine. My suggestion for this stove and any similar designs is to keep the fuel line connections absolutely clean, and don't go on a trip without your entire repair kit."
