"I have had my trangia kit for some 23 years. Used in the Flinders Ranges to NSW and Tasmanian Alpine areas without any trouble ever. Only a new o ring has been required. Has been dropped from time to time and is easily pressed into shape. Works well in a tent as cooking time is quick and does not smell. However aluminum has been linked to alzihmers and this is a concern one should take into account and change the cooking pots if these are used frequently."

"Trangias are ok if you need to use them in tents etc or if you are doing d of e however after using a gas stove you will never want to use one again. They are not advisable if you are backpacking, dont do it. If you are using them for a month solid like i was on Venezuela, they are very tedious, expensive on meths, and take ages to cook food."
