WoodGas, LLC CampStove Review

"I've used this stove for a few months while travelling in Peru and it worked great. It burns whatever fuel (sticks, twigs, charcoal, leaves, pinecones, etc.) you put in it without making smoke. It definitely burns hotter than every stove I've ever used. It is a snow melting machine. It doesn't leave the nasty residue the Zip stoves does, so my pots are as clean as if I'd used a gas stove. It uses about a AA battery every 3 days, so rechargeables are a good idea."

"This thing is HOT. With not much practice it can be an efficient cooker. Although I have not taken it camping yet, I can see that it has a few advantages over the trangia (which I have hiked with for quite a while now). It produces a hotter flame, there is no need to carry fuel, and one does not need to gather much wood to cook a meal. A small setback is that the stove must be refilled with wood every few minutes."
