"This little stove just roars and seems to work even better than the bigger version I have used for years. The soot problem which reviewers often mention is easily solved with a plastic bag. What's a little soot anyway when your having so much fun firing up this gadget and watching it go? I've used Zip Stoves on extended hikes and they are tops in my book. The new titanium model really trims the weight. But weight isn't the whole show. How about the efficient use of your pack's volume? The new Titanium Zip is not only lighter but smaller. Nothing is more irritating than useless, empty gas canisters which are still taking up precious space at the end of a hike. Though the Titanium Zip Stove is expecially good for extended trips, I've almost given up on gas entirely and use the Zip on practically every hike, long or short."
