The pictures that were taken on an overlook are in New Hampshire but Maine is down there in the valley too. Great group camping close to the Black Forest trail. Zaleski during the blizzard of 2008 Zaleski Forest Backpack Trail, by fun2bethad Number Pictures: 5 Date Created: 3/10/08 What's a little snow?! This was the weekend of the largest snow storm in Ohio in several years. The day it began, I hopped in the 4x4 and left for the backpack trail at Zaleski. It was so serene! I was the first and only one to leave footprints in the snow all weekend. This memory will help me get through the crowded summer camping season! GSMNP Feb. 08 Great Smokey Mtns. National Park, by Green Man Number Pictures: 12 Date Created: 3/5/08 This was a nice start for 08. A 16.5 mile hike in 2 days: 11 miles to the Kephart shelter from Smokemont campground on Saturday and 5.5 miles back out to Newfound Gap parking lot on Sunday!
