Description
Hiked the White Rock Loop in mid September. Poison ivy was everywhere and Chiggers and seed ticks were a problem. Trail is fairly narrow and overgrown - would be much better after some of the undergrowth dies off. I would recommend going Oct-May, but we had fun despite the bugs. There were old campsites by streams (4 total on the loop). We had no problems with water availability, a filter is a must though. West side has beautiful swimming hole and falls. East side less scenic but also less traveled. Nice views.

Directions to Hike
We entered at the White Rock Mountain trailhead, there was also a trailhead at Shores lake. The loop trail intersects the OHT.
