Alan Q., 12/02/07 "Stayed at the shelter in mid October. Spring was dry. A spout and soda machines are available down at the state park which is less than a half mile from the shelter. MANY dogs at a nearby farm. They were barking all night and the rooster was active for many hours as well."

huckntuck, 09/03/04 "Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this very clean shelter. The latrine is new, but when I was there the spring was dry. If you're spending the night there, take the fire road from the parking lot at Gathland SP instead of the AT up then down the hill. Watch out for lots of poison ivy around!! And there's a kennel (or something) and a rooster at the bottom of the valley that both make lots of noise VERY early in the morning." Please feel free to add your own comments. Fill in your name, comments, and rate this shelter on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being the highest.
