"Neat 2-loft shelter design with covered table. Nearby spring and two privies out back "with a view". I'll be stopping there again."

"Great Shelter, close to water, three level design is very different. If the shelter gets full "on cold nights" volunteer to sleep in the top section. (very warm due to body heat)."

"Best shelter in Georgia and I saw most of them. Surrounding area is also very pretty."

"One of the best shelters in Ga. Cleaner than those closer to access points. Privy out back. Lots of water."

    Zeno, 06/11/05User Rating:
"Superb shelter! Has everything you need handy (water, privy, camping), and is very clean. Just watch out if you have a fire, as the smoke tends to blow into the shelter and get stuck up in the loft. Made it so no one could sleep in the loft when I was there."

"Absolutely the nicest shelter on the AT in GA. I spent the night there on New Years Eve 2005/2006 and a young couple proposed marriage to one another that evening at the shelter! I'll be there again this month of March 2007."

"This is the best shelter in georgia. Thanks hikers for keeping it clean It would not be so good if everyone did not pack out what they packed in."
