Description
This Trail Passage is a great fall, winter, spring hike or Mtn Bike. East to west is best, as you lose ~ 1300' of elevation. Riparian canyons, scenic red rock cliffs, upper Sonoran Desert, and the upper end of Meadow Valley, where much of the movie "Oklahoma" was filmed, are all a part of this Passage.

Directions to Hike
From Tucson go SE on I-10 to Az 83, S on 83 to Sonoita (& Jct w/Az 82). East Trailhead at Canelo Pass is ~23 miles S from Sonoita and signed. For West Trailhead go W from Sonoita on Az 82 12 miles to Patagonia, then take Harshaw Rd SE ~3 1/2 miles to signed Trailhead.
