Kennedy Lake
The last reviewer kind of panned Kennedy Lake. I like Kennedy Lake. The area surrounding the lake is pretty unique for the Emigrant Wilderness - on three sides the lake is engulfed by tall peaks. It is quite scenic. Yes there is a bog on the left side of the lake as you approach it from the trail. If you hike a little higher as you near the lake you'll miss the bog, but wear long pants or be prepared for leg scratches. I changed from boots to water socks and walked across the bog. The cold water and mud felt really good on my tired feet. There is a nice beach and good fishing on the inlet side of the lake. You can also day hike to Lost Lake if you don't mind a lot of uphill and a little climbing. There are a lot of horse campers at Kennedy Lake.
