Description
The trail head starts next to the swinging bridge turn out on the Vally Floor in Yosemite. You start out ascending switch back after switchback for around 3 miles. The whole time you have awesome views of Yosemite falls and El Capitan. During the 3rd mile you begin to get views of Half Dome. Once you get to the same elevation as the cliffs on the other side of the valey, the trail begins to level out, in comparison to what you have been on up to this point, and heads up to Glacer Point. The hike can be done in about 3 hours up if you move at a decent pace. Once you get to Glacer Point you will be awesruck by the amazing views, and the amount of people that just drive to the top. The hike down is much quicker, should take only 1.5 hrs, unless you have kids. For more fun, link the 4 mile trail to the Panoramic Trail. Its about 13 miles total.

Directions to Hike
Take the 41 from Fresno east to Yosemite Vally, park at the Swinging Bridge turnout.
Or, take the 120 east from Mantica to the Vally, againpark at the Swinging Bridge turn out. If this parking is full, try parking at the Visitors Center. It adds an extra mile each way, but there is usualy plenty of parking there.
