Glacier Lake Trail
A short but more difficult trail. From the grouse ridge trail you head east between Sand Ridge and the Black Buttes to Glacier Lake. This is a deep lake with a great golden trout population. The lake is surrounded by granite, with red fir. A short walk to the north gives you a view of the five lakes basin. There is no trail to these lakes but cross- country hiking is not difficult. You can also make your way cross-country southeast up to a saddle in the Black Buttes and then climb to the top for a spectacular view from the highest point in the area.(8030 feet) AWESOME Elevation 6900-7600 feet this is a fairly difficult trail Great views great fishing
