Description
This is a nice, short, well-worn hike up an urban mountain in East San Diego. It affords one of the better panoramic views of San Diego and makes for a great destination when visiting or entertaining guests to the area. The trail is extremely well maintained & the hike comfortable enough for grandparents to summit.

Directions to Hike
From highway 8 east, take the Baltimore/Fletcher Parkway off ramp. Turn left at the light and continue up about 1 mile (past Lake Murray boulevard and Lake Murray, visible on your left). Turn left at Jackson Drive. There's a parking lot for the hike just past the 2nd stoplight (Navajo) which is almost always filled.
