Description
Although this trail had some beautiful views, I really didn't find this to be a back-country experience, which is how the trail was described. The route crosses a couple paved roads, parallels another for about a mile, and even passes between phone lines at one point. This trail never really "gets away from it all." If you're planning on camping, reserve your site in advance, and I recommend any site with the exception of #1. This campsite is located directly on the trail and also has pieces of scrap metal strewn about.

Take I-75N to US-411. Follow GA 52E until you see Ft. Mountain State Park on your left.
