Panther Creek Falls (Also Angel Falls)
I began to wonder if this hike was going to be worth it after trudging along for 20 minutes and all I saw was garbage and a very crowded trail. However, if you stick to it and get past roughly the 1.0 mile mark the trail starts to follow some beautiful raging creeks, cross refreshing streams, and take you along some beautiful falls (Angel Falls and Panther Creek Falls). Note: Pay attention to the blazes about an hour into the hike - at one point the trail will look as if it takes you over a cliff, backtrack about 15 ft and look for a blaze on the rockface - you have to climb up the rockface about 7ft to pick up the trail again. Also, Pay attention to footing along the trail directly after Angel Falls, parts of the trail are worn away and railing is being put in place for stability. There are some nice and secluded campsites along the creek about 2 miles into the hike. There is an awesome campsite right next to Angel Falls (about half way through) along the rockface.
