Giant City State Park
The name of the trail is the Red Cedar Hiking Trail. It is a loop that circles the park beginning and ending at the main campground. It is very well marked with red and white bands painted on trees. There are also 14 different points of interest marked on the trail. Along the way you will pass an old cemetary dating to the 1860s pass numerous rock outcrops, hike a ridge top and cross several creeks. Water is not a problem in the spring when most of the creeks have water. Otherwise there are several wildlife ponds where you can resupply. The trail was very uncrowded probably because it does not go through the Giant City rock formations which are the main draw for the Park. Wildlife was very abundent along the entire trail
