Description
Starts off in prehistoric lakebed, follows Boone Fork Creek through lush hardwood stands until it joins Bee Tree Creek. Begins ascending past large rock out-croppings until reaching a remote mountain pasture that affords great views of the backside of Grandfather Mountain, then descends through a cool pine woods
and a Blue Ridge Parkway campground and finally winds up back in the old lakebed. The whole loop takes about 2.15 hours but of course depends ultimately on how long you take to admire Mother Nature's surprises. A great day hike!

Directions to Hike
Located on the Blue Ridge Parkway South of U.S. 321 at the Price Park Picnic Area. Park in lot near comfort station. Then walk across wooden footbridge to the trail board, since it is a loop you decide which way to begin. ( My desc. assumes you begin hiking along the creek versus the campground.
