Description
Vigorous uphill trail with old growth and a few small waterfalls at lower elevations. Summit reveals lovely view of surrounding country, tempered with the evidence of acid-rain damage to the trees and foliage.

Directions to Hike
From Raleigh, take I40 West through Asheville and on to the Waterville exit. Take the exit and follow the signs to the campground/trailhead. The trail is in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
