Scout troop 628 just came back last month from hiking up Cedar Rock mtn. located in Pisgah Nat. forrest. We had to climb the last 500ft up a rock face useing ropes and carabiners. All water had to be packed up this extra weight ( 20 lbs.each) increased the physical strinuincy of the hike..

Directions to Hike
Brevard entrance to Pisgah Nat. forest turn off at fish hatchery sign. Park at hatchery and hike up Grogan creek trail or take Cat Gap trail.
