Description
difficult, rocky, some scrambling, awesome views of storm king and the hudson river. There are a few different options for the hike. I reccomend obtaining the NY/NJ trail conference maps, for detailed trail descriptions. This is considered one of the most exciting hikes in the hudson valley!

Directions to Hike
from town of cold spring head north on 9D for less than 2 miles. parking along route 9D trailhead is at base of the tunnel on the river side of the road, white markers. If you want to do an overnight (weekend getaway) You can hike in to malouf\'s sunset camp- they provide everything you need so that you don\'t have to bring anything but a sleeping bag!
