Description
From Coldwater Cove Campground, an easy, level hike north along Clear Lake's shore through the Sand Mountain lava flow. At the end of the short trail, is the spring that fillsClear Lake, the headwaters of the McKenzie River. Great Spring is as clear and blue as the Caribbean, but a tad cooler.

Directions to Hike
From Eugene, east on Hwy. 126. 18 miles NE of McKenzie Bridge. From Coldwater Cove Campground in the Willamette National Forest.
