Description
This trail makes for a great weekend backpacking trip. The 8 mile loop has a little bit of everything for the serious hiker. Moderate elevation gains/losses, fresh water springs, awesome views (overlooking the Tennessee River and wildlife refuge), 2 great overnight shelters, and friendly rangers. I highly recommend this hike!

Directions to Hike
Take I-40 from Nashville or Memphis to exit 126 (Parsons/Camden). Take Hwy 69 south to Parsons. In Parson, make a left onto Hwy 412. Take 412 to Perryville and cross the Tennessee River. Once across the river, follow the signs to Mousetail Landing State Park Entrance.
