Description
this 31 mile loop begins at clingman's dome. Take Forney Creek trail 4 miles down into the ravine below. Then follow Bear Creek Trail up to connect with Welch Ridge Trail, this then connecting to Applachian trail. This is a hike that is for extreme hiking enthusiasts able to climb on switchbacks for long distances. My friend and I loved it. You can after taking bear creek to the top where you can go out to what is called "high rocks" have the view of a lifetime. Once you get to the Applachian trail section that ends at the top of Clingman's you will find a gorgeous view all the way.

Directions to Hike
Take the main road into the Smokies Nation Park up to Clingman's dome, the highest point on the Appalachian trail. This is a big tourest spot, everyone goes up to the lookout.
