RE: Anybody BPed all 50 states?
If you only count backpacking then FL, GA, NC, and TN.

If you want to add dayhiking then MI, VA, WV, WI, WA, CA, AL, NE, AZ, KT, WY, CO, NY, IL, OR, SD, TX, UT, NM, ND and a little bit in BC, Canada.

My Dad was in the Navy so whenever we got transferred (10 times before I was 13) we drove and we detoured to stop at any national park (or anything else interesting) that was even remotely close to our route. I got to see almost every state in the lower 48 except New England. I think I was a pretty lucky kid.

RE: Anybody BPed all 50 states?
Lemme see... BC, Alta, WA and OR. Day hiking... add CA and HI

Six down fifty-seven to go, including provinces and territories. I think I'll be 'hittin' the road' more often, in the near future, but, there's still a lot to see here. I don't think I'll ever run out of places to go, in BC.

That's an impressive list, Pantscandy- I think you get the 'highscore'. Have you been at it a while, or do you tie it in to work?

RE: Anybody BPed all 50 states?
MT, UT, AZ, WY..

thing is, I could do a different trip for the rest of my life in just these states. All 50, well, that would only happen if I wasn't passing up better trails on the way to the next state, which is impossible. So forget it for me, I'm too easily distracted =)

RE: Anybody BPed all 50 states?
Not yet, but I'd like to. So far: GA, NC, TN, VA, WVA, MD, PA, NY, NJ, CT, MAm VT, NH, ME (AT thruhike), MT, ID, WY, CO, NM (CDT thruhike), CA, OR, WA (PCT thruhike) and AZ. That makes 23. Favorite state so far - Montana. I could go back again and again. CO and WY too. There is some guy who is starting a 4 year 50 state hike, using the AT, PCT, CDT and ADT, plus a few others. Can't remember who it is, but he has a web site.
