Morning Person?

“I was sitting, on the patio, having a peaceful early morning coffee, today. And wondered if you all (being backpackers) are generally 'morning types' like myself. What's your favourite time of day?”

“I often stay awake for up to two weeks at a time, then I'll sleep for about 15 hours. I like to time my sleeps so I can awaken just before daybreak. I love the mornings!”

“I have always been a night owl but I am forcing myself to become a morning person. I have a long commute (about 1:15 each way) so to be home by 6pm, I have to get up at 5:15 or 5:30. And some days I really do like it! I have enjoyed many morning driving east into the sunrise. (Of course the sun-glare traffic jams stink.)

In my past life, I would rarely go to bed before 1:00am. If I saw a sunrise, it was probably because I hadn't gone to bed yet!”

“I'm a half breed! Sometimes I like the morning when I've had a full night's sleep but when I've gone to bed late, I'd rather sleep in a little.

I do prefer the mornings with it's quietness, stillness, and crisp fresh air.”

“One time coming up the South Kaibab trail at the Canyon I left at 4:30 to avoid the heat. The heat never came, in fact it was pretty cool all the way up, but seeing the canyon go from complete dark to full daylight was quite a show.

Put me down as a morning person, but if I don't get to bed at a reasonable hour, I do enjoy sleeping in as much as the next person.”
