“NA - Its all on my web page, but I teach introductory and advanced statistics courses to engineers and statistical quality control. I also teach engineering economics (a finance course for engineers) and engineering ethics.

My worst course ever in all my college career was Thermodynamics. That pretty much disqualifies me from running a nuclear power plant.”

I use Montgomery's SPC book and met him about 12 years ago. He is an excellent writer. I know Dr. Genichi Taguchi and have had him on our campus 4 or 5 times. Montgomery hates Taguchi Methods. If he taught your course, I suspect he fried Taguchi a little bit.

I like DOE, but another prof. teaches our DOE course. Response Surface is good stuff also, but not very many people seem to be using it.

“Biz - Rennaisance Vineyard in California used Taguchi experiments to develop a "robust" grape and won some gold medals also. They presented an awesome paper at a conference.
