I'm back, I'm pissed “I've been gone for a while due to some health problems. I have recently lost my best canine buddy due to old age and seizures. Now have lost contact with two of my cousins who are both NYPD due to this stupid, violent attack on our country. God I'm so pissed. I've also had a bottle of wine and needed to vent!!!” 1:10:51 AM 9/13/01 RE: I'm back, I'm pissed “welcome back. hoep you are ok, sorry about the pup. i hope you cousins are ok. i can't believe this is happening either. i've been glued to the tv for two days and need a break from it. wine sounds good right about now. one thing i know is i am proud of how we are pulling together as a country! In AZ you can't get a blood doning appt. for two weeks and there are food and money drives everywhere. we also have a large arab community here and there have been no random attacks. everyone is coming together to pray..muslims christians and jews.” 1:22:52 AM 9/13/01 RE: I'm back, I'm pissed “scratch that...just heard there was a bomb threat on a muslim community center in tempe...nothing though.. i hope no more” 1:25:18 AM 9/13/01 RE: I'm back, I'm pissed “Geez, Pam, you're not having a good month. Hope you feel better and everything turns out OK for your cousins. My condolences to the passing of your dog. Sounds good dazchaz1, everyone should pull together in a crisis like this. 99.999% of people in this world are good...it's the few fanatics that ruin it for everyone.” 2:11:05 AM 9/13/01 RE: I'm back, I'm pissed “Get well soon Pam!” 6:55:24 AM 9/13/01 RE: I'm back, I'm pissed “Pamster, I hope you get well soon. Sorry to hear about the loss of your best canine buddy. I hope your cousins in the NYPD are OK. Let us know when you hear from them. Hopefully, they're just very, very busy.” 7:39:35 AM 9/13/01 RE: I'm back, I'm pissed “You can cry on my shoulder, Pammie.” 7:53:06 AM 9/13/01 RE: I'm back, I'm pissed “Its good to hear from you, Pammie. There are no good words of consolation at times like this... I am sorry for your loss of a good canine friend. You probably miss him even more these days. You and TWB take care of eachother, k?” 8:21:35 AM 9/13/01 RE: I'm back, I'm pissed “hey pammy.......you are in my heart......lookin forward to seeing you soon.....hugs to your gang at home.” 8:27:16 AM 9/13/01 RE: I'm back, I'm pissed “Peace, Pamster.” 8:30:43 AM 9/13/01 RE: I'm back, I'm pissed “Sorry for your loss I'll have a good thought for you!” 8:32:59 AM 9/13/01 RE: I'm back, I'm pissed “Sorry to hear this Pamster. Hoping things look up. There are brighter days ahead for us all.” 9:01:17 AM 9/13/01 RE: I'm back, I'm pissed “Pamster, it's good to have ya back. I was wonder'n where you'd been. So sorry to hear about your dog, that's rough. Keep us posted about your cousins; they're in my prayers.” 9:09:22 AM 9/13/01 RE: I'm back, I'm pissed “Pam, sorry about your dog, glad you're back dazchaz1, really? I was waiting for that to happen. There is a huge muslim community in Tempe, a lot of those folks go to ASU, the school I graduated from and the one I occasionally attend parttime.” 9:10:36 AM 9/13/01 RE: I'm back, I'm pissed “Awww, Pammie....sorry to hear about your loss, your illness, and your cousins. Things have got to get better!!! Take care.” 10:56:24 AM 9/13/01 RE: I'm back, I'm pissed “Thanks for all your good thoughts! Huge sigh of relief! My cousins are okay. One of them was with a unit sent into WCT 2 to expidite the evacuation. He said the mass of people exiting was so thick that his unit couldn't get in. They were spared only because they couldn't gain access to the building! The other cousin worked for 20 hours straight and didn't even think to let his family hear from him.” 5:31:00 PM 9/13/01 RE: I'm back, I'm pissed “Pam, I'm glad to hear everything is okay with your family. I'm also sorry to hear about the loss of your dog. I hope you are feeling better too.” 5:34:06 PM 9/13/01 RE: I'm back, I'm pissed “just heard an arab asu student was attacked today. my husband is lebanese american and sent this to his sister in lebanon. thought i would share with you. hope it helps. Dear Sister, It has certainly been a bad time for us! I don't know how to express to you what I am feeling right now. But I will try 'cause I feel it is the least I could do to help. I hope you would carry on this message to whoever utters the slightest hint of satisfaction by the catastrophe that hit this great nation. I arrived at the United States over 6 years ago seeking a new life and a better opportunity. It didn't take long before I discovered something far more precious. Something to die for! I discovered the true meaning of freedom. I was unconditionally permitted to engage in this experiment where people from different ethnicity, race and religion come together to build a world where all men are created equal. A world where religion is not a tool to make war, but to make peace. People sometimes say to me "You should be accustomed to this since you witnessed war in the past". "No" I say to them "this time, it's different!" I have never had so much at stake. Never did my safety and that of my family become a secondary concern. What matters is that this American experiment and all the values it beholds must prevail! The cowards who did this committed a crime not only against America. They committed a crime against Islam, which preaches tolerance and forgiveness. For people who do not know what Islam is all about, the latest events have been very difficult to digest. In a sad effort to put a face to this new enemy, some are blaming the Arab-American community for the attacks. I strongly believe that sooner or later the scars will heal because this is a land where the love of country out weighs all our differences. Your supportive phone calls have been a great help. We love you very much and hope to see you soon.” 6:45:51 PM 9/13/01 RE: I'm back, I'm pissed “Pam, I am very glad that your cousins are safe. Sorry that you lost your canine best friend, what bad timing. We all need our friends right now. I hope that you are feeling better and had nothing really serious wrong. The wine sounds good right now, and I don't usually drink.” 8:30:17 PM 9/13/01 RE: I'm back, I'm pissed “The personal stories I am hearing from my cousins I can't even come to give voice to. The horrors are too many to even put down. I cry every time I recieve a phone call or listen to the news. I grew up in New York City and Staten Island. This was my home town. I have many ties there. Most of my family are involved in this horrible chain of events. I have one cousin who is a Ferry Boat captain. His job right now is to transport bodies to Ellis Island because the morgue is over flowing. He said he feels like he's a character from mythology, transporting the dead over the river Styx. Another cousin is a sanitation worker. He is now sorting body parts into baggies for later identification. These people are going way beyond their job descriptions. Could you do this? I certainly don't know that I could. If you can spare a few bucks to donate, please call 1-800-GIVELIFE. It is run by the Red Cross. This fund is going to help bury the dead and to the people who lived and worked in the neighborhood of the WTC. There are now countless people who are homeless and jobless. Sorry if I sound like I'm on a soap box, but I am. These events have effected me and my family in a very direct and personal way. Peace and Unity!” 11:52:29 PM 9/14/01 RE: I'm back, I'm pissed “As you know, we--all Americans--are weeping with you, pissed with you, praying for you... Hugs, Pammie.” 12:13:54 AM 9/15/01
