Written vs Verbal
We all get taught to write down things.. as bosses, as family -- all in hopes that the meaning of the words, (or the responsibility for action) will not be lost.

We pride ourself with little emoticons, and other tricks of written communication to ensure that our meaning and attitude is being conveyed to the extent and manner to which we intended..

>>> and yet somehow:

NOTHING can replace hearing another's voice, seeing another's smile, and knowing that you have just connected -- once again.

RE: Written vs Verbal
You are right on TownDawg. My "The Children" thread really illustrated that (as many of my threads have). I am as guilty of misunderstanding or being misunderstood as anyone. I try to be clear though.
