Voluntary Gas Rationing
Here are some energy conservation links. I think we're going to need them.

RE: Voluntary Gas Rationing
I'm sorry, but this one always gets my goat. I do NOT get in my car and just drive around. If I am in my car, I am headed somewhere, for a reason.

This ain't a slam on you Pathman, I just have a real problem with folks who tell me I can slow down my consumption of gasoline as easily as I can turn off light switches.

RE: Voluntary Gas Rationing
I hear ya Violin, and appreciate pointing that out. I am sure the link goes into lots of possibilities.. I guess mainly the title of the thread was what got me.

Remember all those danged 'gas-out' days they proposed about 6 - 12 months ago?

I was like, ya.. right.. I am sure our little one day boycott of the pumps was gonna help lower prices.. but anyways.. enough rambling.. just hit a nerve here.. sorry.. apologize.

RE: Voluntary Gas Rationing
This was put together on my suggestion.

I'm not telling anybody to do anything, I'm telling what I am going to do, and asking if other want to do so themselves. I currently ride my bike 75-100 miles a week, and drive 25 miles a week commuting. I'm going to try and go down even more.

RE: Voluntary Gas Rationing
to me this is closer to WWII rationing, and a motto keeps coming to mind: "Let the eat Oil".

RE: Voluntary Gas Rationing
Pathman, this is simple.
Gas=Money
Money=Income+Savings
Income=0
Anything under 4 miles round trip gets walked. Besides, it's good training for the trail.
