The Blood drive
I think it is strange that they complain about a blood shortage. But when I finally try to give blood I am rejected just because I have had blood on my unprotected hand from my wife. This is not like I don't know her and I don't share other body fluids with her but if her blood touches me then it is all over. What do you think about this?

RE: The Blood drive
Exposure to blood or blood products results in a temporary deferal. Too many blood born diseases that can be infectious before they can be detected by tests.

Did they tell you how long you have to wait? It should have been 12 months.

RE: The Blood drive
You know everyone is going to ask you how you got your wife's blood on your hand, lol.

It may not make sense, but there must be some good reason for it. I think they have enough blood for this tragedy, but want more for when we go to war.

My sister in NY says they ran out of blood bags.

RE: The Blood drive
Lets just say that Henkels (SP) knives are very very good. But don't let your wife use them before a warning.
