Interesting Hx on Bin Laden
I just read an interesting piece on this history of Bin Laden and his links to Afghani, Saudi, Pakistani and US players. It was posted on another backpacking board. book excerpt

RE: Interesting Hx on Bin Laden
This dovetails with the episode of FRONTLINE that was re-aired Thursday night.

And the Saudi's refusal to let the FBI interogate the Khobar bombers looks more suspicious.

According to a panel sponsored by the Johns Hopkins School of International Studies (SAIS) replayed on C-SPAN this PM, Tuesday's attack had all the markings of a false-flag operation, just like the first WTC event. An obvious trail was left. Again.

They say that the Taliban regime can't keep the lights on in Afghanistan, much less execute a plan of this magnitude. If it were not for the sale of opium, there would be mass starvation there. A Turkish military pilot says that the pilots must have had years of training -- most likely military. They Could Not have gained the necessary expertise in the Florida flight school(s). It was most likely a refresher course.

It is now the policy of the US to "end the state" of the responsible government. If not the Taliban, who? Iraq, Pakistan and the Palistinian Authority, in that order? Let's wait and see!

I want to know more about Pakistan's role. And Saudi Arabia's.

Why did the Clinton administration blame only bin Laden before? To go further would have been too messy.

How many armies besides Masud's are there in Afghanistan? Three? Four?
