Wasn't there something in the Bible (or some other prophesy) that said the end of the world would come with some great holy war in the Middle East involving the great powers of the world?

In the book of Job (the oldest book in the Bible), the Aramaic word "Eloah" is used to identify the singular personal pronoun of God himself and "elohim" (the plural 'gods') is often found elsewhere thoughout the Old Testament to describe the false gods worshipped by others. I believe Aramaic is the oldest known language. Someone may refute or verify that.

Incidentally, the cognant form of 'elah'(an apparent derivative of Eloah) is 'allah,' the Arab designate name of God.

Also, in Genesis the first apparent mention of the identity of God appears where He declares to Abraham, I AM "el sadday," or translated "God Almighty."
